Mudbox Fundamentals class (A tablet is required)

In this course you will learn:

  • • Advantages to sculpting in Mudbox over traditional poly modeling

  • • Learning how to sculpt in the computer
  • • Have a few different base mesh models and concepts for students to choose and work from.

Traditional Sculpting using Sculpey

In this course you will learn:

• 
  • The creation of a character or creature using Sculpey.
• • The creation of a wire armature
• • How to apply the Sculpey to the wire armature
• • Different techniques for sculpting
• • How to bake the armature

  Mudbox Intermediate class (A tablet is required)

  In this course you will learn:

  
  
• • Show the pipeline of Maya to Mudbox
• • How to make a good base mesh
• • The issues you have to watch for in your base mesh
• • Talk about modeling based on a goal platform, ie. For movies, TV, or Games
• • Full body modeling and issues that come from different aspects of the body
• • This class is geared toward advancing your knowledge of the Mudbox Pipeline and all of its advantages

Instructor Aaron Dibbs
The course is being taught by Aaron Dibbs.  Aaron has been working in the 3D Animation industry since graduating from Think Tank Training Centre in 2007.  He has worked on several freelance projects and has worked in a studio environment.    Most recently he worked at Nerd Corps Entertainment INC working on Hot Wheels Battle Force 5.  While working at Nerd Corps he held several roles including modeler, rigger, and texture artist.

Currently, Aaron is freelancing and decided to move back to his hometown of Edmonton.  He really enjoys teaching his techniques and skills to his classes and has provided mentorship to those beginning in the 3D industry.
